The Fellowship, funded through the Williams Fellowship Fund, is tenable at doctoral and post-doctoral level to support research on the provenance and technology of archaeological ceramics using petrographic analysis with thin sections (optical microscopy). The Laboratory undertakes a range of collaborative research into ancient ceramics and the Fellow is expected to work on Laboratory projects and pursue his/her own research initiatives. Previous experience in Greek/Aegean archaeology is highly desirable but not a requirement.

The position is usually advertised for three years at a time. When open, it will be advertised on this website, in addition to other venues, with details of how to apply.
