The Michael Frede collection comprises 7,500 books, journal and pamphlets on philosophy, covering the period from the Pre-Socratics to the Early Church Fathers. It includes many rare and out of print volumes.
This collection has been deeded to the School and added to the union catalogue AMBROSIA for identification only. The collection is not yet available. In the future it will be an impressive research resource for the study of ancient Greek philosophy and its subsequent reception during later periods.
