I am an expert in ceramic petrology. As a freelance ceramic specialist, I am using the facilities of, and am collaborating with the Fitch Laboratory of the British School at Athens. I have worked so far in the following projects:
I am interested in issues of technology and provenance, using petrographic analysis to investigate patterns of ceramic production and consumption, and to trace (inter)connections in mainland Greece (mostly across the Peloponnese), the Cyclades and Crete. As a craft potter myself, my research interests include experimental vessel forming and finishing, and I am teaching pottery making classes.
I received a BA in Archaeology from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and an MSc and a PhD in Archaeology from the University of Crete.
