As Digital Asset Manager, I am responsible for the standards and organisation of the BSA’s digital assets with respect to acquisition, storage, retention, preservation and dissemination.
My formal education and work experience lie in the fields of spatial databases, historical cartography, and semantics with focus on their application in the Digital Humanities. I hold a PhD and a MSc from the Department of Geography of Harokopio University of Athens and a Diploma in Rural and Survey Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens. I have implemented several research projects regarding historical mapping applications and cultural heritage standards while my academic experience includes teaching Mathematical Cartography and GIS for History and Archaeology.
