As the Fitch Laboratory’s Administrator my responsibilities concern its administration and research support. My task is to provide logistical support for all its activities and assist the Laboratory Director in ensuring the effective functioning of the laboratory. Moreover, I collaborate with the Scientific Research Officer in the sample preparation for chemical analysis (WD-XRF).
I have worked both as a museum archaeologist at the Brauron museum and the Museum of Archaeology and Art History of the University of Athens where I gained experience in collection management and digitisation and as a field archaeologist in rescue excavations (Thessaly, Epidaurus and Attica). My fieldwork experience in various prehistoric sites in Attica has stimulated my interest in prehistoric habitation in the Mesogeia plain (SE Attica). I am currently involved in the study of a Neolithic settlement excavated in the area of Spata.
I received a BA in Archaeology from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and an MSc in Archaeomaterials from the University of Sheffield.
