EARTH WATER FIRE: Celebrating Cretan Pottery from Antiquity to the Present, Thrapsano 6-10 July 2023
The Thrapsano Cultural Association in collaboration with the Centre for the Study of Modern Pottery-G. Psaropoulos Foundation and the British School at Athens (Knossos Research Centre) organises for the second time the cultural festival EARTH WATER FIRE: Celebrating Cretan Pottery from Antiquity to the Present, Thrapsano 6-10 July 2023. The event is supported by the Region of Crete, the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Sports (Directorate of Modern Cultural Heritage) and the potters of Thrapsano. It is under the auspices of the Municipality of Minoa Pediados. The festival includes lectures on Cretan pottery and culture, educational and experimental projects on pottery, visits to archaeological sites (Knossos and Lyttos) and concerts of Cretan traditional music.
